A Central Texas man has been indicted in connection to a December hit-and-run crash that left one person dead.

Bruce Donell Wilkinson Sr., 39, of Marlin, was arrested on Monday, January 6 for Failure to Stop and Render Aid-Death, which is a second degree felony.

Officials say the accident happened around 6 p.m. Sunday, December 8, in the 100 block of Waco Drive when a red-colored Dodge Magnum station wagon, driven by Wilkinson, was involved in a crash before driving off. The victim in the other vehicle was killed as a result. She was identified as Norma Alicia Valdez, 51, of Waco.

Due to the numerous tips officers received from the community, detectives recovered the Dodge Magnum that they believe was used in the accident a little more than a week after the crash. The vehicle was impounded and processed for evidence.
