Man sentenced for stolen Texas A&M Checks

A man was sentenced for cashing forged checks that were stolen from Texas A&M professors.

Timothy Carter pleaded guilty to 2 counts of forgery of a financial instrument.

The 42 year old made his wife fill out two $300 checks that she had stolen while working on campus as a custodian in the Emerging Technologies Building in 2013.

Carter was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

His wife who also pleaded guilty has been sentenced to 6 years of probation.
