Mart ISD accepts principal's resignation amid testing issues
Mart, TX — The principal of Mart High School has resigned due to allegations of 'testing improprieties.'
In early May, allegations arose of TAKS testing irregularities. The Texas Education Agency required Mart Independent School District to investigate. The district complied and those findings have been sent to the state for evaluation.
Mart High School Principal Lou Ann Wolf offered her resignation earlier this week.
The district accepted it in an effort to close the issue and move forward. A statement released by Superintendent Todd Gooden said the move will be effective June 30.
Mart ISD is currently conducting a search for a replacement to run the district’s sole high school.
Wolf was principal of Mart High School for five years.
