Waco Fire Department responded to a fire overnight, that resulted in one family's loss of their garage and car.

According to Keith Guillory with the fire department, the fire started around midnight at a home, located in the 1000 block of Oakwood. A car parked in the garage appeared to have caught fire and quickly spread throughout the garage. Guillory says "radiant heat caused damage to the house and the neighbor's house".

At this point, officials are still investigating, but the fire appears to have been accidental. "The owner was doing work inside the garage," said Guillory about the investigation.

A husband and wife were inside their home, but were not injured in the fire. The wife alerted authorities. The family was not displaced by the fire.
