WACO -- A man is now recovering from multiple gunshot wounds as police continue to interview several people who may be connected to the shooting.
Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, authorities were called to a home in the 3100 block of North 18th Street in Waco where a 22-year-old male had been shot in his abdomen.
Detectives later stopped a man in Valley Mills driving a vehicle matching the description of the one they believe fled the scene.
"We got information from people there on the scene, who the shooters, shooter or shooters, were and we have several potential suspects that we are looking at," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton.
The victim underwent emergency surgery and is listed in stable condition.
So far no one has been arrested.
