Police looking for man involved in aggravated robbery at local pharmacy

Bryan Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that happened this afternoon.

It happened at 1:30 p.m. when officers were called to a Walgreens located in teh 2300 block of Boonville Road.

The suspect is described as a light skinned mail with an average heigh and thin build. He was seen wearing a maroon hoodie and dark athletic pants when he walked into the store and to the pharmacy area.

The man had his face covered during the robbery and he displayed a knife and gave the employee a note indicating a bomb was in the store and would detonate if police were called.

The suspect then demanded narcotics and left the scene in an unknown vehicle toward North Earl Rudder Freeway on Austin's Colony Parkway.

Police responded to the store, evacuated the building, and searched for explosive devices.

There were no explosive devices found and no one was injured during the robbery.

The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.
