Police searching for man after robbing a Pizza Hut at gunpoint

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a local Pizza Hut Thursday night.

The Waco Police Department's K-9 unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to a report of the robbery to 626 N. Valley Mills Drive shortly before 11:30 p.m.

Authorities say, a black male subject forced his way in the back door of the Pizza Hut as the restaurant was closing.The man pointed a gun at employees and ordered them to get on the ground. The subject proceeded to take an undisclosed amount of money from the registers. He then fled the restaurant and was last seen heading north.

The subject is described as a light skinned black male in his mid-twenties with a mustache and a mole/birthmark on his outer left ankle. The man is believed to be approximately 5'9 and about 160 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a blue bandana covering his face.

None of the employees were hurt during the robbery.
