SAVOR Press Release — On July 16, 2014, SAVOR, the exclusive provider of retail food and beverage services for Baylor Athletic facilities announced the launch of its fundraising program for area Non-Profit Organizations at the new McLane Stadium.
Each season, many SAVOR locations staff their concession stands with Non-Profit Organizations (NPO). For the NPO it is a means of raising funds for their mission, serving as an alternative to traditional fundraising while developing teamwork and camaraderie in an exciting atmosphere.
“We take great pride in supporting the local community by proving this opportunity to help support their fundraising efforts for important community programs” stated Joe Pulido, Director of Food and Beverage. “Our goal is to achieve a win-win partnership, by providing each NPO group with a consistent, ongoing fund raiser and SAVOR…Waco with a consistent labor force, helping us provide great food, service and hospitality.” added Pulido.
The first major event at McLane Stadium will be the Traditions Rally featuring a concert by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on August 28th. In addition to Baylor Football homes games, fundraising opportunities are also available for basketball, baseball, softball and many other events.
