Temple, Texas (KWKT) — The second officer taken to the hospital in the Killeen search warrant shooting last Friday, headed home on Wednesday.
A procession of police cars and emergency vehicles helped transport Officer Odis Denton from the Scott and White hospital in Temple to Killeen.
Officer Denton was shot in the left femur during the attack. He is a nine year veteran on the force and served eight of those years on the SWAT team.
Detective Charles "Chuck" Dinwiddie was killed in the shooting. His funeral is set for this Saturday at 10 a.m at the Killeen Civic Center.

The Dinwiddie family has released the following statement:
"While our family recognizes the risks of law enforcement every day, we have lost a father, husband, brother and son suddenly. Charles was a charismatic, loving member of our family and dedicated to his job with the Killeen police department and Swat team. Charles was a man of many talents and had compassion for everyone whom he met and would not hesitate to offer assistance to any in need. Charles senseless death is tragic and shocking for the community and his brothers and sisters of the Killeen Police Department. As we mourn our loss, the family wishes to do so in private. We direct all media inquires and media interview requests to the Killeen Police Department."
Marvin Louis Guy remains in the Bell County Jail on a $3 million dollar bond.
