Sexual assault trial of former Baylor football player begins

Waco , TX — The trial of a former Baylor University defensive end began Tuesday morning in the 54th District Court.
Tevin Sherard Elliott was arrested in April 2012 for reportedly sexually assaulting a woman at a party at a South Waco apartment complex. Elliott was indicted in August 2012.
Elliott was indefinitely suspended from the football team following his arrest. The incident reportedly occurred on April 15.
Jury selection began this morning. Elliott is charged with two counts of sexual assault.
