COLLEGE STATION -- More than 750 Spanish-speaking firefighters have traveled from all across the world to train here in Central Texas.
This week, firefighters from 19 different countries have come to College Station for the 47th annual "Escuela para Bomberos."
During the week-long courses at the Brayton Fire Training Field firefighters have the opportunity to train with realistic props to battle hazardous chemical fires on boats or rescue people from confined spaces.
And for many of these visitors, the training is invaluable.
"I've been to many places all across the world and I've seen our efforts that are put in here be spread in other countries and that's always a plus," said chief operations, Jessie Gallegos.
The "Escuela para Bomberos" finishes up later this week but it's just one of three week-long courses that TEEX is hosting during the summer months.
