Temple man arrested in connection with Denver cold case

Temple, Texas (KWKT) — A Temple man is behind bars in connection with a rape from 20-years-ago.
Donald R. Shore,56, turned himself into Temple police on Thursday for a sexual assualt and a Denver cold case.
Shore has been formally charged by the Denver District Attorney, Mitch Morrissey, for aggravated sexual assault and crime of violence.
According to Denver Police, the alleged rape happened in the 200 block of Colorado Boulevard on September 6, 1994. Shore's DNA was entered into a national database and linked the 56-year-old to the samples that were collected from the victim 20-years ago.
Shores was booked into Bell County Jail and awaits extradition to Colorado.His bond has been set at 250,000.
The victim passed away in 2000 from cancer.
