Temple Police investigating a bank robbery and need your help

Temple Police are asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle suspected of being involved in a bank robbery.

The bank robbery happened on April 27, 2013 at around 11:51 a.m. The Temple Police Department were called to Compass Bank at the 1300 block of 31st Street.

When officers arrived on scene they learned that a man had entered the bank and pulled a handgun and demanded money. After receiving the money he fled the scene in a newer white model 4 door car traveling east on Avenue M.

The suspect is described as a black male about 25 to 35 years old, between 6' and 6'5". He looked to be about 170 to 190 pounds and was last seen wearing gloves, sunglasses, a light colored pull over style hoodie with the word "Southpole" and a number beginning with a "2" on the front and dark pants.

Investigators have found the vehicle in security surveillance video at the time of the offense. The vehicle appears to be a white Chrysler 300.

Anyone with any information about the vehicle of the suspect is asked to call Temple Police at 254-298-5500.
