Tom Delay headed to court

A Texas judge says former House Majority Leader Tom Delay will be tried ahead of his two co-defendants in their money laundering case.

Delay and two others were indicted back in two thousand five in connection with efforts to fund and elect republican state legislative candidates in 2002.

All of the defendants are denying any wrongdoing.

Prosecutors are now suggesting they'll press different charges of election code violations against co-defendants John Colyandro and Jim Ellis.

The move would separate their cases from Delay's.
