Trespassing becoming problem at Kyle Field

Friday, December 13, 2013 - 4:29pm

Two more students were caught trespassing at the Kyle Field construction site Thursday morning and now University Police have a warning.

UPD says this is the ninth arrest they've made since December and it's becoming a problem.

Thursday morning, security caught 21-year-old Bianca Velasquez and 20-year-old Tyler Dunlap leaving the Kyle Field construction site.

Both were arrested and charged with trespassing.

UPD says they aren't taking the matter lightly.

"There's holes that are being dug, there's concrete in the area as well as equipment and other obstacles that could pose a serious danger to someone that is trying to maneuver their way through the area during the evening or night hours," said Lt. Allan Baron.

Just last week a 25-year-old construction worker fell four stories to his death at the site.

That investigation is still ongoing.
