Truck leaves scene after motorcyclist suffers serious injuries

Authorities are looking for help in determining the person responsible for injuries suffered recently by a motorcyclist in Waco.

According to Public Information Officer Sergeant W. Patrick Swanton, the man was hurt Friday afternoon while driving on Steinbeck Bend near Sydney Drive. At 3:25 p.m., the bike was headed south behind a truck when a hog cage fell from the bed.

The motorcyclist crashed in attempt to avoid the cage and was seriously injured. Police said he suffered broken bones and a punctured lung.The truck left the scene of the crash.
