Two arrested for stealing copper from A&M construction site

750 pounds of copper is stolen from a Texas A&M construction site.

Police say Alex Cortez and Eleazar Martinez were found with around $1,800 worth of copper wiring in their trucks at a construction site on Hensel Drive and Hensel Street.

According to police reports both men admitted they were planning to sell the metal for cash.

Cortez and Martinez are charged with theft of materials.
