Two juveniles arrested for throwing rocks and concrete onto the interestate

Two juvenile suspects were arrested for the stone/concrete throwing that occurred on Saturday morning at 1:10 a.m. in the 800 block of Interstate Highway 35.

The suspects, two black males with ages of 11 and 13. These two were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime, Criminal Mischief, and Aggravated Assault.

Upon investigation, the boys were throwing rocks and pieces of concrete at passing vehicles when a motorist stopped to report the incident to police. A DPS helicopter moved into the area and helped in finding the suspects. Officers then began a brief foot chase and were able to arrest the two boys and take them into custody.

Those that were injured in the incident received cuts to their faces, eyes, and upper body from the glass shards of their broken windshields. They were all treated at local hospitals.

The incident is still under investigation at this time.
