CNN — A Texas woman is facing felony charges for losing control at a neighborhood dog park in Austin.
Police say that the woman had attacked two of her neighbors and their dogs and threw dog feces at the owner.
The reason? She told police that she was sick of people not cleaning up after their pets.
At Canyon Oaks Apartments, picking up after yourselves and animals is something that is encouraged to do. There's a dog park inside the complex and free bags for the taking.
"I actually pick up after my dog so I mean as long as I can find it," said dog owner, Daniel Heydenburg. "There's the occasional one that gets away from you."
Tenant, Rebecca Trammell, 46, was arrested at this apartment complex for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She had told police that she was fed up with people not picking up after their pets.
Her arrest warrant says that she went and confronted two dog owners that she claimed didn't pick up after their animals, even though one of them says he was walking to go get a bag at the time.
Police say that Trammell did admit to hitting the neighbor with dog waste, spitting in his face, and barely missing him with a rock.
But downtown there's a peception that the city's "Scoop the Poop" campaign is working.
If Trammell is convicted, she faces two to twenty years behind bars and a possible $10,000 fine.
