The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System held its 6th Annual Health Fair Friday in Temple.

Dozens of VA, state and federal programs were on hand letting veterans know of certain benefits they were eligible of.

Central Texas has one of the biggest population rates of veterans in the country.

But even with large VA centers in both Waco and Temple, organizers said many vets still do not realize all that is available to them.

“A lot of veterans don’t know that they may be eligible for hearing aids and dental and other common things like that. By providing a health fair, we are ensuring that veterans know all the benefits and programs that they may be eligible for," said Jana O'Leary, one of many organizers putting on the event.
