Waco, Tx — One of Waco's most historic buildings just turned 100 years old, and it's birthday will be celebrated by reopening after shutting down for about the last two years.
Early last year, Waco City Council approved using taxpayer funds to help modernize the Hippodrome, a downtown Waco landmark. Since then, the hippodrome's owners have been working to rennovate the old theater.
Work on the Hippodrome is expected to be completed by spring or summer of this year.
