In a meeting on Thursday night, Waco ISD trustees adjusted school attendance zones "to alleviate overcrowding at some schools and to better distribute the student population among District facilities".

The rezoning will mostly affect those students attending Bell's Hill Elementary, West Avenue Elementary, Crestview Elementary, Parkdale Elementary, Cesar Chavez Middle School, and Indian Spring Middle School. However, the changes at these schools could inevitably create a domino effect, creating minor changes to other school zones.

In the plan, students who attend South Waco Elementary will then go to Caesar Chavez Middle School and finally go to University High School.
