Waco man gets 60 years for shooting at pregnant girlfriend, robbing witnesses

A Waco man is sentenced to 60 years in prison for allegedly shooting at his pregnant girlfriend and robbing two men.

On Wednesday, a jury found Saul Carrizales Loera, 23, of Waco guilty of several charges brought against him. Loera was sentenced to 60 years in prison on two counts of aggravated robbery, 20 years of aggravated assault, 30 years of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. The sentences are set to run concurrently, with the eligibility of parole in 30 years.

According to police, on October 5, 2011, Loera got into a domestic dispute, ending with Loera firing a shot at the woman as she tried to drive off. Loera then allegedly held up two men at gunpoint, who saw Loera fire shots at the woman as they were sitting in a truck near the 3000 block of Sanger Avenue.
