Waco man stabs victim after argument

A Waco man has been arrested after he stabbed a victim during an argument Sunday night.
Robert Gonzales, 59, has been charged with aggravated assault.

Police responded to a report of the stabbing in the 4100 block of N 31st street around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old victim had a stabbed once in his lower left abdomen.

According to Sgt. Patrick Swanton with the Waco Police Department, the victim was coming to the aid of his wife who was in an argument with Gonzales. That's when the 59-year-old got upset and stabbed him.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Robert Gonzales is held on a $25,000 bond.
