Waco, Texas — The Policy Board of the Waco Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet on Tuesday, July 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Waco Operations Center, located at 1415 N. 4th Street.
Consideration and Action will be taken by the Board on one item, which is the proposed changes by the Federal Highway Administration to the Highway Functional Classification System within McLennan County. Other topics include a presentation by the Texas Department of Transportation on the Draft Texas Statewide Transportation Plan, appointment of an MPO representative to the Heart of Texas Regional Transportation Coordination Council (RTCC), and review and discussion regarding guiding principles proposed for Connections 2040: The Waco Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
A formal public hearing will be conducted prior to Policy Board action for interested persons to provide comment. Information regarding the proposed actions may be found on the MPO website at http://www.waco-texas.com/cms-mpo/.
