Waco PD looking for stabbing suspect

Investigation is on-going in the case of murder in Waco last Friday.

According to Waco Police Department, responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland on a reported stabbing Friday afternoon. On the scene, officers discovered that a black male, identified as Tamar Hinley, had been stabbed in the chest by a black male suspect whom Hinley had been in an argument with.

The two men got into an altercation inside the soup kitchen, and the two took the argument outside and onto the street where they began to fight.

During the fight, Hinley was stabbed in the chest, causing a fatal wound. Hinley was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Special Crimes, Victim Services and Waco PD's Crime Scene Unit assisted in the investigation.

Officers are currently looking for the suspect and believe they know who that suspect is. Until a warrant is issued, the suspect's name will not be released.
