A Waco woman remains in jail Wednesday morning on $20,000 bond after being charged with arson.

Susan Kay Alsup, who also goes by Susan Kay Turnipseed, was booked in on the second degree felony charge on Monday.

Authorities say Alsup is responsible for the fire that erupted at the Colony Apartments, located at 8014 Woodway Drive, on Sunday morning. Firefighters responded to a fire at the apartment complex after 2 a.m., where they found flames coming from the leasing office.

The fire was contained to the office and no other structures were damaged in the blaze. One firefighter, however, did receive some injuries but was treated and released.
