The Salvation Army continues to respond in West, TX after powerful explosion caused significant damage on Wednesday, April 17th.

The Salvation Army is providing rapid re-housing, rental and utility assistance, and immediate assistance such as food, clothing, baby supplies, transportation assistance, etc. to those effected and in need.

We are also serving those who may have lost employment from businesses closing due to the explosion that may not live in West. We believe it has been a challenge to get our message out to the people of West, because those who need the help may be displaced in Waco or other communities. Such a challenge has caused a small number of people to seek help from The Salvation Army (e.g. yesterday we had one person, all morning, come in for help)

We have much HELP (funds and material donations) to give out!

Individuals/Families can:
Call 254-756-7271 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

The Salvation Army’s services are located at:
Long Term Recovery Center 218 N. Main Street, West, TX.
Monday –Friday 9am-12pm.
