West, TX — West ISD's school board has given the green light of approval to start on the proposed construction plans of the new middle and high schools.
Earlier this week, FEMA announced that they were awarding West ISD with two grants to help with repairs to the district's two campuses that were severely damaged following last april's fertilizer plant explosion. The two new campuses are expected to cost around $50 million to complete.
Construction on the new buildings is expected to start by this summer, with the schools completed by fall 2015 or spring 2016.
