Whooping cough continues to spread

WACO -- There are now 25 confirmed cases of Pertussis... or whooping cough, in McLennan County.

Nineteen are in the Robinson area, three are in Midway and three others are in undisclosed locations.

Luckily, there have not been any fatalities or hospitalizations.

But doctors say the best way to prevent this potentially deadly virus is to get vaccinated.

The vaccine does wear off after about 10 years so they say it's also important for adults to get booster shots.
