Waco, Texas — A McLennan County Grand Jury has indicted a woman on burglary charges in connection to her two arrests in March for breaking into area homes.
Woodway Public Safety Department arrested Whitlee Elaine Lindsey on March 27, which was the second time in two weeks for burglary.
Police say an officer was called out to check on a suspicious black Chevrolet Silverado, reported off of Delhi Road in Woodway, after a caller reported it to police. Lindsey was reportedly located walking up to the parked truck. Police say she then tried to take off, but the officer manged to disable the truck prior to her fleeing the scene. Lindsey was then arrested and the stolen items were recovered. Lindsey has been charged with burglary, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.
Lindsey was also arrested by Waco PD at a motel room the week prior in connection to burglaries in the China Spring area.
