BRYAN -- A 50-year-old Bryan man is accused of hitting a person in the street while driving drunk. According to Bryan police, Vernon Salter was arrested late Saturday night after he hit a woman with his car.

The man killed in this wreck has been identified as Michael Robert Wall, a Fort Hood soldier. The woman remains in a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
