Police investigating robbery of a Killeen couple

KILLEEN, TX — Killeen Police are investigating an Aggravated Robbery of a Killeen couple that occurred in the area of Hoover Street and Second Street, on Tuesday, just before 8:00 p.m.
Officers responded to a 911 call telling them that a robbery had just occurred at 7:50 p.m., in the 1500 block of North Second Street. Upon their arrival, the female and male victims told the officers that as they were getting out of their vehicle, they heard a male yelling at them demanding their belongings. The couple turned around and saw a tall black male with bad teeth, wearing a black ski mask, a gray hooded fleece pull over and dark color sweat pants, threatening them with a handgun. At one point the suspect pulled the trigger however the gun did not fire. The couple scrambled to get away from the suspect, and in doing so, the male victim threw an object at him. The suspect then fired his weapon, missing the male. The female victim then hit the suspect with an object, and at that point, he ran from the area, east on Hoover. As he was running away, he fired the weapon again, hitting the victim’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported in this Robbery.
