A soldier wounded in the Fort Hood massacre completed an 80-mile run to the Texas State Capitol today (Monday) on the third anniversary of the shooting.
Chief Warrant Officer Chris Royal began the race Thursday from Fort Hood.
Royal and 31 others were wounded when Major Nidal Hasan allegedly opened fire on a group of soldiers in 2009.
13 people died in the shooting.
Royal said he did the run to remind others that there are survivors who still need support.
He founded the 32 Still Standing Foundation to help families in the wake of this tragedy.
