Waco, TX — For the second day in a row, a female Waco resident has been robbed at gunpoint at her own house.
The call came in at about 11:30 P.M. Tuesday.
A woman told police officers that two men had robbed her. She had opened the door when she recognized one of the voices.
“She opened the door up and there were two black men- one of them had a handgun with him demanding her boyfriend’s money," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton of Waco P.D.
The boyfriend was not home. The woman was alone and was made to wait while the robbers searched the house.
Police are still determining what happened in the minutes between the entry and the moment they left.
“She was ok. She was not injured. We did have our Victim’s Services go out and spend a little time with her,: said Swanton. " She was obviously shaken up from the incident.”
Yesterday in North Austin, a woman was robbed by an armed man wearing a Jason-style hockey mask just feet from her house.
Like the Tuesday's victim, she also did what was asked of the robber. Both were physically unharmed.
Swanton attributes that to the way the victims each handled their situation.
“Typically in these types of cases where somebody has already produced a weapon and is pointing the weapon at you, the opportunity to fend that off becomes much more difficult.”
Police believe the name they were given by the victim could lead to arrests.
