COLLEGE STATION, Tx (KYLE) — One of College Station's busiest intersections was shut down for more than seven hours Sunday after a five car accident.
The accident happened at the intersection of George Bush Drive and Texas Avenue just after 3:00 a.m.
Police say an SUV ran a red light and crashed into another car. Those two vehicles then hit two more and a fifth vehicle was struck with debris.
Four people were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries.
Police are asking you to avoid the area again tonight. They will be shutting down the intersection from midnight until 6:00 a.m. while crews try to re-construct the scene.
