Dekalb County, GA — A former Killeen star football player who ended up playing in the NFL was found shot and killed Saturday in Dekalb Georgia.
Police report that David McMillan was gunned down in a robbery attempt near Atlanta. DeKalb County Police Department is still investigating the circumstances.
McMillan graduated Killeen High School in 2001. McMillian started for three years on the Kansas University football team. He was a fifth round draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, which he played with for three seasons.
According to the Kansas Jayhawks' website, a visitation for McMillan will be held Friday, May 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kinsey and Walton Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25 at noon at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta.
