Waco, Tx — Waco police have arrested two more juveniles in connection to a June 29 rock throwing incident on Interstate Highway 35.
The juveniles were taken into custody Thursday afternoon and are charged with Criminal Mischief and Engaging in Organized Crime.
Police say at around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, the juveniles were throwing rocks and pieces of concrete at passing vehicles in the 800 block of IH 35. A motorist stopped to report the incident to police. A DPS helicopter moved into the area and helped in finding two of the suspects. Officers then began a brief foot chase and were able to arrest two black males, ages 11 and 13, and take them into custody at the Juvenile Detention Center. Those juveniles were charged with Engaging in Organized Crime, Criminal Mischief, and Aggravated Assault.
Those that were injured in the incident received cuts to their faces, eyes, and upper body from the glass shards of their broken windshields. They were all treated at local hospitals.
Detectives believe there is one more juvenile to be arrested, but they have not been able to locate him as of yet.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
