Waco, Texas (KWKT) — The Waco Convention Center (WCC) will be the location for the Daughters of the Nile annual October State Days Convention. This private event will take place October 11-12 in the Brazos Ballroom.
Daughters of the Nile is an international fraternal organization for women 18 years or older who are related by birth or marriage to a member of a Masonic-related organization. It was founded in 1913 and membership totals 26,000 in 139 cities throughout the United States and Canada. The organization contributes over $1.5 million each year to Shriners Hospitals for Children, which is to be used for medical care and rehabilitation of children.
“We are pleased to welcome the 400 attendees to our destination,” stated Elizabeth A. Taylor, Director for Waco & the Heart of Texas. “This event will generate a positive economic impact of over $615,000.”
