Morgans Point, TX — The Bell County Sheriff’s Department is investigating what exactly happened that led a man to kill his girlfriend, light his house on fire and then turn the gun on himself.
Brian John Cecil, 41, called his ex-wife and told her that he had shot his girlfriend.
Morgans Point Police began searching for Cecil around the area.
Officers showed up at a house at 13 Buttercup Loop to see smoke releasing from the house and Cecil’s pickup truck outside.
SWAT team members found Cecil with a gunshot wound to the head in the master bedroom, and Tabitha Sazama, 41, lifeless nearby clutching a pair of scissors.
Officers couldn’t determine if she had been shot or not due to smoke damage done to her body which has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
