Killeen, Texas (KWKT) — The Killeen Police Department will be hosting its 36th Citzen's Police Academy.
The classes will begin on March 3, 2014 and continue until May 19, 2014.
The classes will be held on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on additional class on Saturday, April 12.
There will be 12 weeks of instruction, including presentation of the functions and operations of the departments various investigative and adminstrative divisions.
This program is an education and informative program that allows citizens the opportunity to learn about the issues that affect law enforcement efforts in the city of Killeen.
Applications are available at the Killeen Police Department.
The deadline for applications will be on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
Applicants must agree to submit to a background check which includes a criminal history check.
There is no cost to anyone that enrolls.
