Waco, Texas (KWKT) — The Waco Police Department has identified two people who were killed in a local apartment complex shooting on Tuesday.
Sergeant Patrick Swanton said the victims were Justin Javier Gonzalez, 24, and Ulysses Gonzalez, 30, both of Waco. They were also identified as cousins.
At 4:20 a.m., the pair was inside a Pecan Tree apartment when an unknown person(s) entered the unit they were in and fired shots. Authorities found the cousins dead at the scene.
Justice of the Peace Peterson responded to the scene and pronounced both victims dead. Judge Peterson sent both bodies to Dallas for autopsy.
Investigators believe the murders were not random, and at least one person was targeted. The cousins were said to be visiting tenants who lived at the complex when the incident occurred.
No arrests have been made.
