Texas officials have shrugged off the discovery of British Petroleum tar balls on the coast near Galveston, claiming its natural for oil to show up this time of year.
However, professors at The University of Texas are saying otherwise.
Instructors for the university were commissioned by the federal government to create new computer simulations.
UT Professor Clint Dawson is part of a major collaboration of researchers, and he says the latest model shows the oil moving toward Texas at a faster pace than previously projected.
The latest models predict more crude to show up in the next 72 hours.
