Waco-- The new J.H. Hines Elementary School in Waco has already reached a full capacity of students for the school year. This neighborhood school allows an easy way for children to either walk, or take the bus everyday to school.
The reason for the influx of students is becuase, recently a local apartment complex closed, allowing parents and school officials to move the students. The question is, How can this be prevented in the future?
Principal at J.H. Hines Elementary, Archie Hatten said, "We are going to have to sit down as a district and see if we may need to re-draw lines to make sure we don't have the kind of disruption we had with this unanticipated growth spirt."
School officials say, they were very please with how the school is currently meeting the needs of all the students, despite the crowing. They feel like the students are in a wonderful enviornment and getting the attention they need to succeed.
