Wednesday night at about 10:35 p.m., Temple Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at a residence in the 4800 block of Box Canyon Drive. Officers arrived to find an adult female victim with non-life-threatening injuries to her legs and back. The victim was taken by ambulance to Scott and White.
Officers learned that the victim had been arguing with her common-law husband at their residence, when he entered his vehicle to leave. The victim entered the vehicle to retrieve items, and the suspect allegedly backed the car up while she was in the open passenger door. The victim then fell under the car and was run over; she was run over a second time when the suspect allegedly put the car in “drive” and drove back over her body as she was laying in the driveway. The victim crawled away before the vehicle could strike her a third time.
The suspect, identified as Nathan Wilson, a 24-year-old Temple man, left on foot before police arrived. He was located at another residence in Temple later in the night, and arrested without incident.
Wilson is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Family Violence. This case will be reviewed later today with the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, and bond will be set thereafter.
