WACO -- Neighborhoods in East Waco are getting a face lift this week.
An organization called World Changers has come to central Texas to help revitalize 20 homes in the Carver Park neighborhood.
The work includes roofing, painting, and building handicap ramps.
The city provides the materials for the group which officials say is estimated between $40,000 and $60,000.
But the renovations wouldn't be possible without the free labor from world changers, something the homeowners are thankful for and the volunteers are happy to do.
"I think it just puts you in the right perspective, you know, just a lot of times you can take things that you have for granted," said Brennan Stevens, World Changers spokeswoman.
The 244 volunteers are mostly high school students and come from 16 churches across Texas, Oklahoma and Georgia.
