Medical care for Fort Hood families just got a little easier thanks to a new Killeen medical home clinic.
And for Staff Sergeant Marcos Demelo and his family, the all-in-one care is what they look forward to most.
"Convenience... I love the fact that they have a immunizations, and the pharmacy and blood work, labs, everything can get done in one place instead of having to go to multiple places," Mrs. Marcos Demelo said.
Before this clinic opened families at Fort Hood didn't have access to such personal care.
"A lot of times you would go into your appointments and you would only have so much time to be able to talk about one particular thing, but sometimes you would have multiple things to talk about and sometimes that would be frustrating," Racquel Ware, LVN said.
And it's in a prime location off Elms Road near Stan Schlueter Loop.
"It's closer to our home, closer to schools, so they won't miss as much school trying to make an appointment," Demelo said.
This is the third and final home care facility opening in Fort Hood.
It is one of 19 other medical home clinics the army is opening near army facilities throughout the U.S.
