TEMPLE -- Ever wished your Christmas tree and even presents came pre-decorated and purchased?
Well the United Way of Central Texas can help you do just that.
This Thursday is the first ever Chrome and Carol Festival of Trees hosted by the United Way of Central Texas.
After funding cuts, the organization needed to add an extra event to raise money. This event has decorated trees with all different themes to be raffled off, presents under them and all.
"Once you get in, you can buy raffle tickets and you can put your raffle tickets in any of the trees, and if you win, then you get the tree, all the decorations, and there's at least 800 dollars worth of gifts under every tree," Ann Thompson, Executive Director of United Way of Central Texas said.
The event is from 6 to 9 P.M. Thursday, December 1st, at Horny Toad Harley-Davidson in Temple.
Tickets are $25 at the door and raffle tickets are a dollar a piece.
Food and entertainment will be provided.
Each tree being raffled is worth about 1,300 to 1,400 dollars.
There will also be decorated wreathes in a silent auction that will go directly toward programs the United Way supports.
The trees were designed and decorated by Precious Memories Floral and Gift Shop owner Seleese Thompson- Mann and staff.
Music will be provided by The Funk Factory and Hilton Garden Inn is catering.
