Officials tell KWKT that 2 people were injured along with 3 killed in a wreck near the Robertson County line.
Both people hurt, one from each vehicle, were taken to a Bryan hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
DPS officials say the accident was caused by weather when the truck, driving northbound, hydroplaned and was hit by a semi, a Sanderson Farms poultry truck also heading northbound. Witnesses say the semi tried to avoid the truck, but was unable to avoid the wreck.
No identities have been released at this time.
One lane has been reopened as authorities reconstruct the accident.
Officials are on the scene of a 3-person fatal wreck near the Robertson-Brazos County line.
The wreck happened this afternoon at US 190 and Highway 6 near the Robertson County weigh station.
Authorities tell KWKT an 18-wheeler collided with a pickup truck. Three passengers that were in the truck have died.
Crews have shutdown both the north and southbound lanes of Highway 6.
