U.S. — Ford is recalling some 2012 Focus cars, due to a defect with the wiper motor.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administraion (NHTSA) reports that more that 140,000 Ford Focus vehicles could be affected by this recall.
The seal on the wiper motor might be missing, which could allow water or other contaminants to get in and cause the passenger side wiper to malfunction, which might increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify any Focus owners that might be affected, and dealers will inspect the vehicles to clean and properly seal the wiper motor connectors.
